Who are we?
ZOOM is the leading homegrown convenience-store operator in the UAE. It originally started under the minimard brand as the first c-store operator in the region 25 years ago, with a new modern format, as opposed to traditional grocery store concepts 'baqalas'. A few years later, the company acquired the first master franchise convenience-store brand in the region from a leading American operator.
With the recent developments and growth spur in the UAE, ZOOM also evolved into a modern brand name, leading the industry into a new age of enhanced customer experience and service excellence. Developed in collaboration with top European brand and design consultancies, ZOOM in all its formats, is now an upmarket concept in terms of design and fit-out.
ZOOM currently has over 235 stores with ambitious growth plans. Regionally, ZOOM plans to further expand its presence in Saudi Arabia, where it currently has 16 convenience stores in petrol stations and plans to have 110 ZOOM stores in KSA by 2028.
ZOOM has been recognized for its excellence and was named a UAE Superbrand for the 7th consecutive year. ZOOM has been recognized for Best International Design by Convenience Store News in 2016, shortlisted in Retail ME 2016 for Most Admired Store Design of the Year, won Retailer of The Year 2017, and Most Effective Campaign Of The Year 2018. ZOOM was recently awareded for Brand Campaign of the Year (runner up) and Retailer of The Year - Food and Grocery 2019.
The ZOOM convenience store format has conquered the transit system in the UAE, with over 135 stores across service stations and with more than 43 stores across the Dubai Metro.
ZOOM has moved on to expand beyond that in major cities, targeting commercial and residential communities and hotel/leisure destinations to provide the public with easy access to their needs by always being within their reach.
