Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer is Dubai Electricity & Water Authority's Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, focusing on driving growth and execution within the Emirate of Dubai. Mr Al Tayer has experience of more than 30 years in the fields of telecommunication, energy and water, and has led DEWA since 1991, acting as a key contributor to its success.

Under his leadership DEWA has seen exponential growth, and has successfully transformed into a forward-looking, commercially minded utility with a state-of-the-art assets base and strong financial profile.

Saeed Al Tayer has been at the forefront of localisation, bringing focus to his innovative ideas and a vision for building an empowered and fully independent business unit. He is a member of the Government of Dubai's Executive Council, Dubai's Economic Council Dubai Supreme Fiscal Committee, and the Higher Committee of the Emirates National Grid, and is Chairman of the Dubai Infrastructure Committee, Chairman of Empower, Chairman of Dubai Nuclear Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Vice Chairman of Dubai Holding, Vice Chairman of Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), Chairman of the Dubai Global Energy Forum and Chairman of Emirates Energy Awards and Founder and Chairman of WETEX - the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition, among other representations.
